A trip to the supermarket in Korea is interesting because of the surprises you get - every time.

For instance, if you find something you like, it's best if you grab at least two because the next time you're there, you might not see it again - for several months, if not years. Recently Eric and I found condensed milk in squeeze bottles. He obviously couldn't hide the happiness and joy from his face. Oh, how I laughed. Apparently condensed milk disappeared from the shelves here years ago and no store carried them - until now.

The struggle to try to find some English labeling on the items sitting on the shelves is little adventure by itself. Today we found colorful packs which looked like juice in little sippy cups laying beside a bin of -- juice. Eric actually said "Oh look, juice in sippy cups at a discount!" I walked over to grab one, strained my eyes to find some English words and found that it was actually re-fill cans of air freshener. No, I don't think it would be wise to drink those.

But what happened after today's shopping trip was quite hilarious.

He was wearing this hat:-

See the bushy part of the hat that looks like sandy blonde hair?

Well, we got into the cab, Eric had the hat on, then when we were settled, he took it off. The cab driver had a hearty laugh for a good five minutes. At least. Then I started laughing too. The driver had obviously thought it was Eric's hair he was looking at. Then realizing later that he had none, had thrown him off guard so much that he laughed and laughed and laughed.

That's all for now, I'm off to have some freshly grilled lemon, butter and herb fish. Yum.

Till next time!
